Energy for Alaska

Deutsche Oel & Gas S.A. welcomes Bruce Webb and Rainer Klee to the board of directors, with the corresponding resolutions having been passed with a clear majority at the annual shareholders' meeting on 17 December 2018 in Luxembourg.

The shareholders present also approved all other items on the agenda by a large majority.

“In Bruce Webb and Rainer Klee, we have gained two renowned experts in their respective fields, namely the oil and gas sector, and accounting and controlling. Moreover, both men are already very familiar with our group of companies,” explains Kay Rieck, chair of the board of directors at Deutsche Oel & Gas S.A.

Bruce Webb worked for Furie Operating Alaska LLC, a German oil & gas group company, between 2011 and 2018, during which time he was in charge of regulatory matters. He has been active in Alaska's oil and gas operations for over 40 years (holding roles at the Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil and Gas, among others) and, as a result, boasts in-depth knowledge of the local market.

Rainer Klee has been head of accounting and controlling at Deutsche Oel & Gas S.A. since April 2017, and was appointed to the role of chief risk officer on 1 November 2017. He has more than 30 years of experience in accounting and finance, and has worked as chief financial officer at such companies as ABB, Babcock and Holzmann AG.
