Energy for Alaska

A recent study by the Petrotechnical Resources of Alaska Consulting Company shows that the demand for gas in the Cook Inlet is expected to increase until 2021, surpassing current local production capacity. If no additional wells are drilled, it may be the case that as soon as next year not enough gas will be getting produced to meet the region’s needs. The majority of gas producers in the Cook Inlet, however, have not yet planned a sufficient expansion of their activities.

As a positive example, the study cites the planned expansion of the production capacity of Furie Operating Alaska, the operating company of Deutsche Oel & Gas S.A. With the completion and commencement of production of the third well and another exploratory well, which opens up the way for the fourth well in the Kitchen Lights Unit, we are responding to the increasing demand for gas.
